If Queen (Padmé) Amidala of the recent Star Wars trilogy owned a car, this would definitely be her ride.
Pur Sang, meaning “pure blood” or “thoroughbred”.
This is the new Bugatti EB Veyron Pur Sang, a special edition version of one of the world’s fastest cars, limited to a production run of just five units in total.
In addition to everything that is a Bugatti Veyron, the Pur Sang body shell is made of an extremely pure aluminum alloy, to prevent irregular polishing, a carbon fiber monocoque body, and no paint. Only the bare carbon fiber and aluminum will grace the skin of the most exclusive car in the world.
The two-tone aluminum and carbon theme is carried on throughout the car, highlighting the exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. The combination not only adds aesthetic grace, but functional performance, keeping the rather large Veyron to a svelte 1,888kg in Pur Sang form, shaving nearly 100kg off the standard Veyron. Considered against the backdrop of 1,000hp, the power-to-weight ratio of 1.88kg/hp puts the Pur Sang into the new position of world dominance, which is likely to be a familiar sensation for anyone privileged enough to own one.
