The economy is bad, so Nissan has just announced that the new Nissan Versa 1.6 is the cheapest car sold in the U.S. at a starting price of $9,990.
The Nissan Versa 1.6 is powered by a new 107 horsepower 1.6L engine, which is obviously smaller than the Versa's other 1.8L engine. The 1.6L also gets better gas mileage than the 1.8L at 26/34 for the 5-speed manual and 26/ 33 for the 4-speed automatic transmission.
