A Silicon Valley Startup called Project Better Place is pushing the car industry in Israel to become less reliant on fossil fuels and more reliant on electricity.
The Silicon Valley start-up Project Better Place hopes the fully electric prototype will be on Israel’s streets in large numbers beginning at the end of 2010. This has huge political ramifications as well as environmental ones. Although many hurdles are still in its way.
While the price point is similar to that of a standard sedan, adoption of alternative powered vehicles has still been largely driven by mainstream car manufacturers who have been slow to adapt as they profit from the oil industry as well.
Project Better Place partners with mainstream car manufacturers like Reinault Nissan to help make the world a better place one electric car at a time.
